I'm back with another blog post on helpful Instagram tips to grow your following. Thank you so much for the positive feedback on the last post.
It's important to have constant content posted on your Instagram page, this keeps followers engaged daily. As your follower base grows you will lose and gain followers daily, if there is not regular content you will find that you can lose more than you can gain. Without fresh content that's interesting and engaging your follower base will stop interacting.
Don't over post
Posting too much is just as detrimental as not posting at all. The last thing your followers want to see is there whole daily feed filled from one Instagram account. I personally only post twice a day which for me is perfect, but I do believe you can get away with posting three times a day but no more than that.
Utilise Instagram stories
Instagram stories are a great way to get extra content out to your followers. Its also useful to track how many people engage with your stories, opening up a new avenue for promotion.
Hashtags are super important to get your content out to a wider mass of Instagram users, but I personally don't like seeing a large number hashtags on posts. To solve this problem I like to copy down all the hashtags I use in my notes on my iPhone and just paste them into the posts. To keep my hashtags hidden I put spaces before the hashtag in my notes section and then paste it into my post, and due to the post caption being so large it hides the hashtags.
Set content standards
You need to set a standard of content you can be proud with and stick to it. I know when I post a picture I'm not happy with my followers can tell and not only will I get less likes but I'll potentially lose followers from it. Looking at your Instagram feed you can tell if content doesn't belong on your page because it sticks out like a sore thumb. Instagram is all about the visuals in one image it has to tell a whole story.
