Winter is here and there is nothing better than snuggling up in bed with cosy bedlinen. Through the cold winters in Melbourne I've definitely come to learn what's best for keeping me warm.
The first is Adairs Ultra Soft Jersey quilt cover and sheets. I have just recently brought my second set because I love the warmth these give me. Just a word of warning these do pill, it's the nature of Jersey so they might not be to everyone's liking.
Another important key piece of bedding that is a must for me in the cooler months is my Mini Jumbuk Thermal Quilt. It's all 100% wool which is important in my home as my husband suffers from bad asthma.
Some might find the the thermal quilt warm enough on it's own but as a cold sleeper who loves extra weight in bedding I add this coverlet from Adairs over the top. I have had it for a number of years, I just love the vintage wash look and find it breathes well and adds that little bit of extra warmth I'm after.
I personally have not used an electric blanket since I became an underlay (mattress topper) convert and now I couldn't live without one. I do use a MiniJumbuk one...no this is not an AD, I just find they make stunning Australian wool products. and what is so great about the Luxury topper is you can change it seasonally as one side is wool for warmth and the other side it cotton to keep you cool.
And there you have it! That's how I'm keeping warm in bed this winter. Let me know what you are using as I'm always in the market for new bedlinen...You can never have to much right!?
